Houston, TX – True REST Float Spa has opened a new location in Houston, bringing a premier wellness experience to the 
Houston community.
University of Houston graduate and True REST Houston owner, Kiran Momin, heard about floating on ESPN from professional basketball player Stephen Curry. After seeing it on ESPN, she began to research the concept and the many benefits of floating. Kiran shares, “after my first experience, I wanted to float at least once a month. I got the best sleep that night. Now that I have been floating multiple times, I feel calmer and less stressed.”
As an avid health and wellness devotee, Kiran’s next business venture is to become the area developer for Houston, TX and eventually Dallas, TX for True REST. Kiran explains that after her first location, “I have plans to open multiple units in the Houston/Dallas, TX markets over the next 10 years. Coming from a family whose goal over the past 25 years is self-sustenance and business ownership, I plan to continue my family’s legacy in owning, operating and growing my business ventures well into the future.”
Flotation therapy is a growing trend in healthcare, with devotees that include pro athletes, yogis, medical professionals, and of course military personnel. True REST offers hour-long sessions where patrons can relax in their own personal flotation suite, which includes a private shower and Float Pod. Each pod contains 1,000 pounds of Epsom Salts dissolved in 10 inches of skin-temperature water. Due to the high salt content, spa clients float effortlessly while their bodies and minds unwind. True REST clientele have complete control over their floating experience; pods include personalized light and music selections, as well as the option to open or close the pod door at any time.
True REST was founded in 2009 by Nick and Holly Janicki in Tempe, Arizona and they then began franchising in 2014. With over thirty locations open across the country by the end of 2018, another twenty currently under development, and approximately 5,000 members brand wide, it was time to bring True REST flotation therapy to the city of Houston. “We all struggle with stresses of our daily lives, if we can offer someone an hour of peace, I would 
say we are benefiting our community. I also hope to help people with pain management. If floating can help someone with their pain relief, I feel like we are providing people alternative options to getting better” Kiran explains.
Recognizing the extensive military and first responder community in Houston, True REST Houston is committed to offering free one-hour floats to veterans on the 11th of each month. The Houston location of True REST is devoted to bringing a truly natural means of physical and emotional self-care to the local community.
