The profound benefits of float therapy has caught the attention of veterans and veteran organizations nationwide. Clinical research has scientifically proven that float therapy can have equal benefits to the prescription drugs given to our veterans to overcome PTSD, anxiety, pain, and insomnia.
After years of positive testimonials from veterans, and a strong collaboration with the Yellow Ribbon Fund, True REST and the Yellow Ribbon Fund created a partnership to support Float Research.
Help us help our veterans. There is more research to be done, and we are all striving to find holistic options that will give our veterans and military members a healthier life.
Yellow Ribbon Fund is a 501(c)3 veteran service organization, dedicated to serving severely wounded, ill and injured post-9/11 servicemembers and their families from every branch of the United States Military, following unexpected medical crises.
Since our founding, Yellow Ribbon Fund’s priority has been to keep families together during the recovery process for wounded, ill, and injured service members. We do this by providing housing and transportation during recovery and with caregiver support when and where it is needed. We take our mission seriously, and it shows in the way we run our organization.
We are proud to announce that 87 cents of every dollar goes directly to programs and services for our heroes and their families.
True REST is committed to helping veterans and active military by donating free floats on the 11th of each month – every month.
Float Therapy has been shown to reduce blood pressure, stress, anxiety, and physical pain, as well as improve sleep quality and increase feelings of serenity and well-being. Clinical research has reported floating also has a profoundly beneficial effect on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other stress and pain related conditions.
A recent TIME Magazine article writes about neuropsychologist Justin Feinstein and his unique Float Research Center in Oklahoma. Dr. Feinstein shows how floating mimics the effects of meditation – and medication – by shutting down the “fight or flight” response that can trigger symptoms like nightmares and night sweats in PTSD sufferers.
Float therapy is an all-natural, holistic approach to significantly decrease anxiety, stress, and depression. Check out this story from a local True REST in 2019.
